Information regarding methods of calculation and units of measurement applied to translations.

The main unit of measurement adopted by Alltrad is a page of 1,500 characters spaces included (25 lines of 60 characters each). The rates for each language of the price-list defined with the client are applied to the number of pages translated.

Translations using CAT Tools

In this case, the unit of measurement is the word. The final number of words is calculated on the original text, applying different percentages according to repetition measured on analysing the text.
An assessment can also be made of the advisability or not of creating a memory, aligning the client's previous translations ("alignment").

Non-translation works

Editing and any other services requested by the client are calculated considering the number of pages or hours involved..

Quotes

For quotes, we calculate quantity according to the original text and apply a variable development percentage according to target language.
Fat rate quotes can be furnished on request.
